#1   Immediate Steering Committee Vacancy!

Amber Cox has sadly resigned from the Steering Committee effective immediately—she will shortly have a new little addition to her family who will take all her extra time and energy.  Amber has been with us only a short time but we have enjoyed her enthusiasm, hard work and ready smile.  We will be sorry to see her leave us.

• The current Steering Committee members are also listed on our website so you might want to take a look and see who you will be serving with on the Committee.  
• If you are interested, email the online application, a copy of your CV and photo, and the letter of support from your program director to me by September 7, 2010.  This letter should state that your program will support you financially to attend the necessary meetings.
• We will verify that you are eligible.  
• We will then advise the total membership of the candidates who are willing to serve.  
• We will ask the members to vote by Survey Monkey by September 17, 2010.
• We will advise the person voted in and the membership of the results by September 20, 2010.

This needs to be done quickly since whoever is voted in will be invited to attend the next ARCOS plenary meeting in Chicago, October 11-12, 2010.  This will be the last meeting of the Steering Committee to finalize plans for the upcoming Annual Meeting in San Diego in February.  If you can’t make this meeting, don’t feel that you can’t be on the Steering Committee.  You are only required to attend the annual meeting and one plenary meeting per year.

#2   2011 Steering Committee Vacancy!

Mindy Franke’s term on the Steering Committee expires with the 2011 Annual ARCOS Meeting.  Mindy has served for the last 5 years on the Steering Committee and done a wonderful job on the newsletter!  We will miss her!  So we are again looking for candidates who are interested in serving.  We will be accepting applications up until January 1, 2011.  If you are interested, please review the requirements and complete the registration form on our website—click on SC Application

Send your application, CV, photo and letter of support to me at the address below.  Voting by the ARCOS membership will take place during the Business Meeting of the Annual ARCOS Meeting on February 16-18, 2011 in San Diego, CA.
